Who does Mel Gibson have to punch in the face around here to get people to stop seeing his movies?

Echoing the conclusion reached by our own Tasha Robinson, more than 75 percent of respondents to a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll said that Mel Gibson’s recent forays into Beat poetry (puns!) will have “no effect” on their desire to buy a ticket to one of his films in the future. However, Vanity Fair cautions that these results could be interpreted as an indication that “they never had any intention of seeing another Mel Gibson movie” in the first place—and of course, it failed to follow up with “What if it was about a guy who only communicated through a beaver puppet?
