Bill Murray has an uncanny ability to pop up in unexpected places and remain matter of fact about his arrival even as he’s completely disrupting whatever’s going on, including dropping in on a White House press conference and the construction of an arts center. The legendary comedian usually livens up the event in question, so whether he’s making our babies cry or making us cry, we accept (and anticipate) Bill Murray’s intermittent presence in our lives. So when the actor dropped by a Lupe Fiasco concert in Austin (Texas, not the Chicago neighborhood, though that would have been cool, too) and demanded an encore, the Tetsuo & Youth artist dutifully performed.
We’re not sure what pressure Murray could have brought to bear on Fiasco, but he probably played the hometown card with his fellow Chicago native. Murray was seen chanting away with fans for the rapper to come back to the stage after wrapping up the show, so it looks like he went through all the proper channels with his request.
