What did we do to deserve Demi Adejuyigbe's new Will Smith-Black Panther mash-up?

The political world might be exploding tonight, but hey, something must be going right: Comedian, writer, and certified A.V. Club favorite Demi Adejuyigbe has released not just one, but two fantastic new movie-related songs this week. We already covered Demi’s Morissey-inspired take on the Green Book credits, and now we’ve got the Fresh Prince/Black Panther mash-up we didn’t know we needed in our lives.

We won’t spoil the new tracks’ twists and turns, but suffice it to say that Adejuyigbe—whose credits include The Good Place, The Late Late Show, and the yearly spectacle of his September 21 dance—winds up rhyming “driveway” and “Dora Milaje.” It’s a delight, despite the grisly sonic spectacle of finding out exactly how dirty T’Challa can fight when Will Smith decides to step to his Wakandan throne.
