Pop culture obsessives writing for the pop culture obsessed.

Sleater-Kinney’s No Cities To Love tour is winding down this week with two shows in New York City and three in Brooklyn (we suppose that means there’s at least one borough to love). And at Sunday night’s Terminal 5 show, the band launched into a cover of The B-52s’ “Rock Lobster” with a little help from Carrie Brownstein’s pal, Fred Armisen. The Portlandia co-creator did the Fred Schneider honors on the cowbell and vocals alongside Corin Tucker’s marine-animal sounds. Sleater-Kinney will be back on the road in 2016 with 11 shows at various Australian venues, though the New York-based (because of this thing) Armisen probably won’t be able to tag along for those dates.
