David Fincher’s highly anticipated adaptation of Gone Girl isn’t out until next week, but you can already stream Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ soundtrack and score for the movie right now over on the NPR website. Equal parts eerie and desolate, the tunes are on par for anything the pair did for The Social Network or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, with Reznor saying Fincher told him to “think about the really terrible music you hear in massage parlors. The way that it artificially tries to make you feel like everything’s OK. And then imagine that sound starting to curdle and unravel.” Hear for yourself whether he achieved it.
