Last week The A.V. Club shared a pretty fantastic Serial parody that perfectly skewers the tone of Sarah Koenig’s compelling investigative podcast. The parody comes from UCB performers Paul Laudiero, Will Stephen, and Zach Cherry, who have a way of zeroing in on Serial’s idiosyncrasies and exaggerating them to just the right level of absurdity. The group released two new parody episodes yesterday, which is perfect timing for those who are caught up on the real series and can’t bear the wait until after Thanksgiving. (The parodies contain no spoilers so it’s safe to listen even if you aren’t caught up).

In “The Greeting,” the trio explores the psychological motivation behind the infamous “Mail Chimp” mispronunciation in Serial’s opening ad.

Then, in “Recreating The Scene,” Sarah Koenig takes a rather odd tangential journey involving some acting grad students and her favorite film.

So now in addition to waiting for new episodes of the actual Serial to drop, fans can also eagerly anticipate new episodes of the Serial parody too. Links to the rest of the videos are below.
