Because the zombie-infatuated audience of The Walking Dead is always clamoring for a higher dosage, AMC has announced that the season five finale, airing May 29, will run 90 minutes instead of the usual 60. According to the synopsis, the episode will feature Daryl in trouble on the run, and the other characters struggling to fit into their new community. In other words, it will be another episode of The Walking Dead, with a 50 percent bigger carousel of minor characters showing up just to get immediately slaughtered. No word yet on whether Chris Hardwick’s Talking Dead following the finale will also be extended to 90 minutes, but you can probably expect him to be 50 percent giddier regardless.
