The recent passing of Wes Craven has been a major blow for horror fans worldwide. Many have taken to the web to share stories and commemorate the iconic filmmaker, including Shaun Of The Dead director/writer Edgar Wright who penned a very touching blog post. Actor Robert Englund, best known for his role as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street, is also planning a big tribute at a film convention in Indianapolis this weekend.

Film editor Pablo Fernández Eyre decided to celebrate Craven’s life in a slightly different way: by crafting a mashup of A Nightmare On Elm Street and Inception. The mock trailer pits Leonardo DiCaprio’s Dominick Cobb against the Springwood slasher terrifyingly well. Considering that both films touch on the ability of accessing the unconscious mind, it‘s easy to see why the movies blend so perfectly. Still, sweet dreams are definitely not made of this.
