M.I.A. just released her new song “Go Off”—off her forthcoming album, Aim—just yesterday, but she’s already rolled out the earthy new video for the song. Maybe the artist feels she’s on a tight schedule, what with Aim being her last album and all.
The video’s footage is of quarry excavations, whose explosions change the face of the earth. The cascades of sediment move in time with M.I.A.’s beat, before hurtling towards the camera and knocking it back. But despite this display of power, the Matanagi artist says the album is going to be more carefree than her previous efforts. We guess it’s a good thing then that Skrillex and Blaqstarr are involved.
