For those not up to date on the lip-sync habits of their favorite celebrities, here’s a quick recap of the Marvel Dubsmash wars: After discovering the joys of Dubsmash, Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell became embroiled in an increasingly complex “war” with the cast members of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., culminating in the best Peggy/Captain America kiss to ever grace the screen. (Some kind soul mercifully compiled the whole thing on YouTube.)
Since the first battle was such a hit, the teams regrouped for a second battle that aims to raise money for charity via Crowdrise. Round one kicked off with Atwell performing “Single Ladies” with her reluctant co-star James D’Arcy and an enthusiastic Miss Piggy. Now the S.H.I.E.L.D. team has fired back with their take on “Wrecking Ball,” which manages to fit a whole lot of content into Dubsmash’s 10-second time limit. The video isn’t embeddable, but it can be viewed here.
Should they so desire, viewers can cast their vote by donating to either Agent Carter’s charity of choice, STOMP Out Bullying or Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. So far S.H.I.E.L.D. is winning, but whether that has to do with video quality or charity choice is anyone’s guess. There are still two more rounds of videos left before Dubsmash armistice is declared.
