Little did HAIM realize, by releasing an album with some pretty sick beats on it, that it would soon find itself caught in the maw of the owner of all sick beats, Taylor Swift. And, per her acquisition of said sick beats, Swift is fusing the L.A. sister act’s beats to her own, Voltron-style, by bringing HAIM on tour with her for a series of dates, part of her her victory lap for record-shattering album 1989.

The move may not come as a surprise to fans, as Swift recently Instagrammed the above photo of herself on vacation with the band. Like a pushy older sibling, Swift wants to make sure you know about the things she likes, even while making clear those other sick beats she likes and owns are subservient to hers. So the tour might actually be an attempt to set the record straight about her sick beats vs. HAIM’s sick beats—a “Sick Beat Veterans For Truth” tour, if you will.
