Following the recent success of bringing films like Back To The Future, Airplane!, and (on a much smaller scale) Memento back to the big screen, AMC has announced that it will revive Martin Scorsese’s classic Taxi Driver in over 40 cities on March 19 and March 22. For modern audiences who are somehow unfamiliar with Taxi Driver, the dad from Little Fockers drives a wacky-taxi through a New York filled with dark, nocturnal fairy-tale animals, like the mythical skunk-pussies, and one day he embarks on a quest to save a fair young princess from that other guy who was in Little Fockers. You should see it! You’ll like it. Anyway, it screens in a special, 35th-anniversary edition in Sony Digital 4K, and those who get their tickets early will also receive a commemorative mini-poster.
