Sylvester Stallone is still trying to shoot up hype for a new Rambo movie

Back in May, we reported that Sylvester Stallone was (maybe) working on a Rambo revival that would see John Rambo mowing down a Mexican cartel after the daughter of one of his friends gets kidnapped. That followed rumors that have been swirling for about a decade, including one about a full reboot called New Blood that would’ve starred someone other than Stallone, but this Rambo would’ve been a return to the loud, dumb action that people apparently liked in the loud, dumb Rambo movies. Now, Stallone is back on his proverbial bullshit, posting a Rambo image on Instagram with the caption “a savage rising” and “soon.”

The Wrap claims that The Savage Hunt is the rumored title for the Rambo sequel that’s supposedly in the works, so that seems to be what he’s teasing, but it’s possible he’s just making stuff up to try and get people excited. Stallone has been using his Instagram to tease the Creed sequel, though, so it’s not completely unheard of, but this image is really the only thing we have to go on. Maybe there’ll be a new Rambo, we don’t know.
