Shaun Of The Dead

Any hero can use fists, feet, or guns to dispatch their enemies. But it takes a special breed of cinematic badass to take out villains using unconventional weapons like a ladder, an umbrella, or even an entire oil tanker. Burger Fiction, a video company made up of Andy Schneider and Jonathan Britnell, has assembled this supercut of improbable weapons used in movies that range from the mundane (a pen, a paintbrush) to the ridiculous (the various guitar cases in Robert Rodriguez’s El Mariachi trilogy). What follows is a hyperkinetic action montage of people using some uncommon (and fairly common) objects to take down their attackers.

The list is a wide-ranging one that spans decades and genres, and includes action set pieces that are either intentionally or unintentionally ludicrous, depending on the context. But in any context, it’s an impressive array of badassery that showcases some imaginative fight choreography by some of the best in the business. Plus, any list that includes Pootie Tang’s belt has to be worth checking out.
