Finally following the career arc of Daily Show correspondent to starring on The Office that he somehow avoided by becoming "independently famous" or whatever, Stephen Colbert has signed on for a guest-starring role in the show's upcoming ninth and final season. According to Entertainment Weekly, Colbert will play the oft-mentioned Broccoli Rob, fellow member of the equally oft-mentioned Here Comes Treble a cappella group so beloved of Ed Helms' Andy Bernard. Colbert will drop in during the show's Halloween episode, his character revealing a bitter rivalry with Helms' due to his "singing a different tune about the history of the group"—which is wordplay, because a cappella. Anyway, this leaves one wondering about when Mo Rocca will finally appear on the show, "one" being Mo Rocca.
