As you may have heard, we’re bringing back the 26th Annual Comedy Festival to Chicago in May, with a ton of amazing headliners: a UHF screening with Weird Al in attendance, an afternoon of conversation with writers from The Simpsons and The Onion, headlining sets from Kyle Kinane and John Mulaney, and lots, lots more. (All details and ticket links are here.) We’re happy to announce today that we’ve also convinced Vanessa Bayer to headline a show on Friday, May 29, at beautiful Thalia Hall in Pilsen. The show will take place at 9 p.m., and you must be 17 or older to attend. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m., right here. Bayer is one of the standout stars of the current Saturday Night Live cast, playing everyone from Miley Cyrus to Jacob The Bar Mitzvah Boy. She was hired for SNL out of Chicago, where she performed at iO, Second City, and Annoyance. You can witness her triumphant return. The festival takes place May 26-30 at various venues throughout Chicago, and tickets are on sale now for everything except Vanessa’s show which, again, goes on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. See you there!
