All those new costumes you keep purchasing for your Dead Or Alive 5 characters continues to pay off, as thanks to you, Sony PlayStation has been able to bring some fairly big-ticket names to Powers (and all your video game ladies look sooo pretty). District 9’s Sharlto Copley is the latest to be cast in the adaptation of the Brian Michael Bendis graphic novel, taking over the lead role of Christian Walker—a lantern-jawed linebacker type on paper, but with a jaded, melancholy edge that’s well-suited to Copley.
Joining him is Michelle Forbes, whose presence is required on any drama with a mystery, fantasy, or sci-fi spin, according to union regulations. The Battlestar Galactica/True Blood/The Killing/Orphan Black alum will play Retro Girl, a beloved, branding-conscious celebrity among the community of superhumans Copley’s Walker is tasked with policing, aided by his partner, Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward). The rest of the cast has been rounded out so far by Eddie Izzard, Noah Taylor, and Olesya Rulin, with others sure to be added as soon as you buy that “Cheerleader Costumes” pack.
