Looks like Paramount's insurance agency can breathe a sigh of relief: Despite rumors to the contrary, Sean Connery stated today that he definitely will not be returning for the next Indiana Jones sequel, due to begin shooting this month. In a statement posted on the Lucasfilm website, Connery said that "retirement is just too damned much fun" to return to his role as Harrison Ford's father. Connery had some further wisdom for the Ford, saying:

"I do, however, have one bit of advice for Junior: Demand that the critters be digital, the cliffs be low, and for goodness sake keep that whip by your side at all times in case you need to escape from the stunt coordinator!"
