In the year and a half that it’s been on the air, Full Frontal With Samantha Bee has devoted more time to covering Donald Trump’s candidacy and resultant presidency than the series’ creators or showrunners could have ever imagined. The late-night show airs weekly, but regularly finds something in the latest 24-hour news cycle to weigh in on every Wednesday, whether it’s a baffling new hire or deserved firing. This has been going on so long that the unexpected has happened—Bee and her staff have finally put together a field piece that’s “Trump positive.” That’s how the host put it to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show last night, though it should be noted that all the good vibes were coming from her Kurdish interview subjects, and not anyone involved in the show.

While in Kurdistan, Bee encountered many Trump fans, including some who were willing to name their children after the man whose ancestors were actually Drumpfs. The full story will unfold on Full Frontal in two parts, on August 2 and August 9, when viewers can also look forward to seeing Bee respond to being called “shrill” to her face.
