Following the success of Killing Lincoln, the National Geographic Channel has picked up Bill O’Reilly’s next, endlessly plugged presidential assassination bestseller Killing Kennedy, casting Rob Lowe as JFK. Variety reports that The West Wing and Parks And Recreation star will be joined by Once Upon A Time’s Ginnifer Goodwin as Jacqueline Kennedy, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald, the widow of accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. Filming on this, just one of the many JFK assassination projects in the works, is scheduled to start sometime in June, with a premiere set to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's death in November. There's no word yet on who will be Lee Harvey Oswald—though perhaps they could cast O'Reilly himself in a Rod Serling-like twist, playing the man who shot JFK for the book sales.
