We’ve said it before, but winning an Oscar for Best Actor is apparently very good for your movie career. According to Deadline, Rami Malek—who was once the star of a very good TV show before he got too big to spend so much time with Christian Slater—is now in “early talks” to star alongside Denzel Washington in a new crime drama called The Little Things. The movie is coming from The Blind Side’s John Lee Hancock, who will write and direct The Little Things.
The movie is about a “burned-out” deputy sheriff (Washington) who teams up with a hotshot city cop (Malek) to “reel in a wily serial killer.” Apparently, the older guy’s ability to watch out for “the little things” is very helpful, but “his willingness to cut corners” gets his new younger partner stuck in a difficult situation. Also, for the record, Mr. Robot’s end was planned before Malek won the Oscar, so we’re just joking about Malek not wanting to hang out with Christian Slater. Obviously everyone would like to spend more time with Christian Slater.
