Actor Peter Graves was found dead today at age 83. Graves had a long career in movies and television, alternating in his early days between prestige Hollywood pictures like Stalag 17 and agreeably corny B-movies (a few of which later popped up on Mystery Science Theater 3000). On television, Graves was best known for playing Jim Phelps on the classic '60s spy series Mission: Impossible (taking over as the show's lead after Steven Hill left at the end of the first season) and for hosting A&E's Biography.
