Deadline reports that NBC has rounded up more cast members for its Dolly Parton movie, Coat Of Many Colors: Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles and Ricky Schroder (NYPD Blue, 24) have been cast as Parton’s parents, with Longmire’s Gerald McRaney set to appear as Parton’s grandfather. The film is the first in a planned series about the singer’s life, but will not be a biopic—it’s instead described as a “faith-based, family-oriented story” about Parton’s life at the age of nine. Last month, we learned that Alyvia Lind (A Deadly Adoption) would play the young Parton, so at least she’ll finally have a good movie family.
