Dark, the mindfucking German drama that resonates as an unholy union of Stranger Things and Twin Peaks, will return for a shadowy second season this summer, Netflix reports. Created by Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese, who are currently at work on another horror series for the streamer, the series began as an investigation into a pair of missing children in a small town but, by the end of its first season, turned into, well, something else.

Netflix has also shared a teaser in conjunction with the season’s release date, one that demands an apocalypse amidst its violent, sci-fi imagery. Guns, ropes, radiation suits, and priests are just a few of the delights awaiting you in the below clip.

Dark’s second season arrives on June 21.
