DC's Vertigo imprint has shed its original image as a producer of comic books for clove-smoking goth kids. Still, it's ever-so-slightly jarring that Vertigo has announced the release of a new graphic novel based on–no, not Bauhaus' The Sky's Gone Out–Neil Young's Greendale. As reported by Publishers Weekly, the book will be co-written by Joshua Dysart (who penned the new manga Make 5 Wishes under the auspices of Avril Lavigne) and drawn by Sean Murphy, and will adapt the environmentally conscious, rock-operatic concept behind Greendale, Young's 2003 album with Crazy Horse.
