In what is likely some sort of reverse-psychology trick to get the Internet to care about Mistresses, Deadline reports that Alyssa Milano has decided she will not be returning to the summer drama.
Shortly after it was announced that the show would be renewed and—in a cost-saving measure—moving production to Canada for season three, Milano released a short statement explaining her decision to leave. “It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate,” Milano posted on her blog. “I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first, and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away.”
Since the first season ended with a cliffhanger regarding the fate of Milano’s character Savi, the third season will presumably begin with Yunjim Kim saying, “Oh, remember Savi? Yeah, it turns out she died after all and was a ghost all last year. Spoooooky!”
