Mindy Kaling joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show last night to shop for home goods as well as promote The Mindy Project, which just kicked off its fifth season. Kaling’s rom-com series hits its 100th episode this year, but the actress and author’s already gearing up for pulling off a heist in the all-female Ocean’s Eleven spin-off from Gary Ross. The Ocean’s Eight cast was rounded out this summer with the addition of Sarah Paulson to an ensemble that already included Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkafina, and of course, Kaling. It’s a star-studded cast, to be sure, but when asked what she brings to the team, Kaling sold herself a bit short.

Details about the film are being kept under wraps, of course, but Kaling did reveal that the caper will take place in New York City, presumably because every financial institution (read: casino) in Las Vegas has already been plundered plenty. The Why Not Me? author also shared that there’s a “fashion element” to the movie, which, when combined with the location and Hathaway’s presence, suggests that this could be an unofficial sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. We’ll know for sure when Emily Blunt is cast as the Reuben Tishkoff of the bunch.
