Ryan Coogler may have turned the directing reins over to up-and-comer Steven Caple Jr.—who was reportedly “personally picked” by franchise originator Sylvester Stallone after Stallone himself took, and then gave up, the director’s chair—but Michael B. Jordan is back and as buff as ever in the trailer for Creed 2. The family theme that was so important to the first Creed seems to be just as strong—if not stronger—in the sequel, as Adonis Creed (Jordan) weighs the his responsibility to his young family against importance of continuing his father’s legacy by fighting the son of the man who killed his dad in the ring .

Creed 2 delivers an uppercut to theaters on November 21.
