While the teaser for their yogurt commercial reunion raised some lingering question about just where Danny Tanner, Jesse Katsopolis, and Joey Gladstone ended up, Jimmy Fallon has thankfully provided the answers: The three co-dependent grown men/roommates are exactly where they’ve always been—living in their full house and dispatching comfort to anyone who needs it. The next stop on the unexpected Full House media blitz—which has also included a Reddit AMA and a visit to Good Morning America—saw Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier helping Jimmy overcome his fears of moving to the Tonight Show and leaving Late Night behind.
The sketch hovers right on the border of uncomfortable and hilarious, while the attention to detail (Michelle’s pencil bed!) and the unwavering commitment to bringing back every single one-liner (and puppet) will have many a TGIF fan waxing nostalgic. Plus the trio can still manage a fairly charming version of The Teddy Bear song. Sure it lacks the surprise factor (and Aunt Becky) of that Late Night performance by Jesse And The Rippers, but fans of Full House were never there for the surprises. They were there for the predictability.
