According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary Lynn Rajskub—best known for playing Chloe on 24—has signed on to Starz’s TV series adaptation of Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience. The original movie version starred porn star Sasha Grey as a woman who, essentially, gets paid to be someone’s girlfriend. The TV version will follow the same basic premise as the movie, and Starz announced in September that Riley Keough (who has appeared in Magic Mike and The Runaways) will play the lead. THR says Rajskub will be playing “a smart, calculating, and persuasive” attorney who—presumably—does not provide her clients with the titular “Girlfriend Experience.” Keough’s character will be an intern at Rajskub’s firm, though, and she’ll have to juggle her job with the “ever-broadening web of intrigue and betrayal” that tends to come with the territory when one charges people for sex and pretends to be their girlfriend.
