Late night talk show hosts have thus far stood in solidarity with their writers during the WGA strike, but it looks like some or all of them might be coaxed back by Jan. 3 to offset sharp ratings declines. There's some talk that David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Craig Ferguson may all return around the same time. Others say Leno and O'Brien are most likely to return in early January, no matter what Letterman decides. NBC has to be concerned about the plunging ratings for both shows, which in recent weeks have lost nearly half their audience.
