The most recent developments in Kesha’s protracted legal battle with Sony and producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald haven’t gone her way, but now Pitchfork is reporting that she’ll soon be playing her first actual concerts since going to court. She’ll start off her (very) brief string of dates on May 23 and 24, playing Nashville’s Dylan Fest—which is honoring both Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday and the 50th anniversary of Blonde On Blonde, his first album recorded in Nashville. In 2011, Kesha covered Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” for an Amnesty International compilation album, telling Rolling Stone at the time that she “just started weeping” when she first sang the lyrics to herself.
After Nashville, Kesha will perform at PixAxe Summerfest in Kentucky, and in July she’ll be at the Dubuque County Fair in Iowa. You can see the full dates below, along with the poster for Dylan Fest and Kesha’s emotional version of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.”
