If the first trailer for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse served to introduce the movie’s gorgeous art style and multiple-reality premise, its latest trailer shows just how that’ll all play out. In short, they are not skimping on the Spider-People. In addition to the movie’s main Spider-Man (voiced by Shameik Moore), there’ll also be Jake Johnson as an aging Spider-mentor, a badass drummer(?) named Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), a brooding hardass named Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage), an anime Penny Parker with a giant mech named SPDR (Kimiko Glenn), and a cheerily self-aware talking pig named Spider-Ham (John Mulaney). That’s a lot of Spiders for one movie to juggle, but Into The Spider-Verse looks like it’ll at the very least be a lot of fun, and very purple. There’s a lot of purple in the trailer. How much purple will be in the final film? Find out December 14.
