John Fogerty open to a CCR reunion

There's been a lot of bad blood in the Creedence Clearwater Revival camp since the band broke up in 1972, with guitarist John Fogerty even refusing to appear with bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford when the band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Now after 40 years, Fogerty’s bitterness has died down, and his position on a reunion appears to have softened. In an interview with the Calgary Herald (and picked up by Rolling Stone), Fogerty talked about how his righteous indignation has cooled from a boil down to a light simmer: "I have to admit, people have asked me more recently, and even though I have no idea how such a series of events would come to pass, I can tell that there isn't the bombast in my voice, in the denial, in the refusal. It's more like, 'Well, I dunno.' Never say never is I guess is what people tell you. In this life, all kinds of strange things come to pass."

So, not exactly definite plans for a reunion, but certainly an invitation for somebody to start throwing money at CCR to play "the most rockin' song of all time."
