Deadline reports that Warner Bros. is in talks with Jesse Eisenberg about taking his Lex Luthor—whom he’s slated to play in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice—and bringing it over to David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Eisenberg joins a long list of possible players like Ryan Gosling, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Tom Hardy, who are supposedly in the running for the cast of supervillians brought together to complete black ops missions for the government. But obviously, bringing in Lex Luthor hints at another attempt to bridge a larger connection between Warner Bros.’ many upcoming DC Comics films.
Potentially complicating that plan, Eisenberg is also expected to star in Arms And The Dudes, Now You See Me 2, and a possible Zombieland sequel. But hey, what’s another name on the list of comic-book movie speculation?
