According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (via Consequence Of Sound), Jack Black recently told the audience at the Shaky Knees Music Festival in Georgia that he’s making a sequel to the 2006 Tenacious D movie The Pick Of Destiny. “I don’t know where you’ll be able to see it,” he said, “but we have decided that it’s happening and it’s coming out.” Black even teased that the movie would be released in October, which seems optimistic considering that we don’t know anything about it.

Going off of the original report, it seems like that’s the only information Black gave about the movie. We don’t know if it’s already been filmed in secret, we don’t know if it will be a direct sequel to the first movie, and we don’t know if a studio is actually attached. Hell, we don’t even know if he was just joking and he made the whole thing up. Basically, all we do know is that if you hang around near your local theater or on your local video on-demand service, you might be able to see a new Tenacious D movie in October.
