With their adorable faces and unusual coats, hedgehogs are just begging to be anthropomorphized in a whimsical fashion. And since Kenneth Grahame only had time for the briefest hedgehog cameo in The Wind In The Willows, Russian photographer Elena Eremina is taking up the charge. Eremina dressed up a couple of hedgehogs and placed them in domestic settings, which sounds vaguely creepy until you realize it was for a calendar called, appropriately, “Hedgehogs!”
Eremina’s Facebook page is a treasure trove of hedgehog photography. Which, admittedly, is not a sentence we ever expected to write. But fuck it, it’s Friday.
