As an article from World Science Festival points out, the reality of time travel is inching closer with every scientific advancement and discovery, whether that means drifting through a wormhole or being accelerated faster than the speed of light. And, to make the discussion a little more fun, the piece includes a cool infographic comparing the time-traveling experiences from a number of Hollywood films, including Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Looper, and Hot Tub Time Machine.
The takeaway from the infographic is that William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan own the title of most time covered in their traveling, heading into the B.C. era to snatch up Socrates and leaping as far forward as 2688 to visit the utopian society they inspired. Of course, this infographic doesn’t include their journey into the afterlife in the sequel, which we’re pretty sure exists outside of time and space and puts Bill and Ted in a category all their own.
