’N Sync may be reuniting at this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards—or at least, that’s what The New York Post is claiming. The semi-reliable paper says that Justin Timberlake has reunited the group—which hasn’t been on stage together since 2002—for a one-off performance, and that JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick were all spotted together in Miami at Timberlake’s show with Jay Z. That hangout was apparently enough to spark the rumor, especially when coupled with the fact that Timberlake is set to receive the VMA’s highest (and most dubious) honor this weekend, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. After all, there definitely aren’t millions and millions of other, more lucrative reasons to get the ol’ boy band back together.
