Dealing with the tragic death of Michael Clarke Duncan with the same expediency with which he's overcome so many other production setbacks, Robert Rodriguez has found a workaround for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, which would have seen Duncan reprising his role as the hulking Manute. Much as he recast Jamie Chung in Devon Aoki's place for far less sad reasons, Rodriguez has replaced Duncan with Dennis Haysbert, the actor still perhaps best known for his years of service on 24. Of course, though approximately the same height as the late Duncan, and similarly gifted with a deep, sonorous voice, it's safe to say that Haysbert lacks somewhat in the intimidation factor that Duncan possessed so innately. But presumably, Haysbert can make up for that by threatening his prey with all the unthinkable accidents that can cripple you if you're not properly protected.
