As the days grow incrementally cooler and shorter, it’s time once more to prepare for the big TV harvest. Hulu and Amazon Prime’s crops include new seasons of One Mississippi, Transparent, and The Mindy Project, as well as a whole lot of movies you probably should have seen by now. Now it’s HBO’s turn to reveal the bounty to be reaped, which features the September 10 arrival of The Deuce, David Simon’s latest. The series, which tracks the legalization and subsequent rise of pornography in New York City, has double the James Franco but just one Maggie Gyllenhaal (but we’ll take it).

Elsewhere, Vice Principals will be back in session for season two on September 17, while La La Land and Assassin’s Creed will hand jive and swan dive their way onto the streaming platform on September 16 and 23, respectively.
