As part of the build-up to OKNOTOK, the band’s 20th anniversary remaster of its career-defining OK Computer, Radiohead promised fans that three previously unreleased tracks from that era would make their way out into the world. Now, true to its word, the band has released the first of these, allowing “I Promise” to stream via BBC Radio 6 earlier today.

Acoustic and slow-paced, the song was originally part of the band’s set list back when it toured on OK Computer, but never made it onto any of its albums. Now you can hear it in all its dreamy glory; meanwhile, we’ll presumably have to wait until OKNOTOK releases later this month to hear the other two unreleased tracks from that turning point in Radiohead history.
