ABC's Stateside remake of the popular U.K. series Life On Mars seems to be getting less and less sucky by the day, what with the earlier announcement that The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli has signed on, and now the news that Harvey Keitel has agreed to join the cast and take on his first-ever regular TV series role. Keitel will play Detective Gene Hunt, head of the homicide division and a guy "known for using any means necessary to do his job" (sounds like something of a loose cannon—but I bet he gets results!), who will no doubt spend plenty of time busting the ass of head star Jason O'Mara, a.k.a. Det. Sam Tyler, a cop who mysteriously wakes up in the 1970s. Not really sure how Keitel is going to work his penis into this, but there you go.
