Harry Potter reimagined as a wacky ’90s sitcom

Glossing over the child abuse Harry suffers early in life, the first two books in the series—Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets—are much more children’s books than what follows later, when characters start dying and shit gets dark.

So the first two films getting the ’90s sitcom treatment makes a lot of sense, as there’s a whole lot of hijinks, pixies, and child acting when the gang first gets to Hogwarts.

Comedy Central UK imagines such a show in its “Harry Potter: The ’90s Sitcom” edit. Here’s hoping for a gritty early-2010s True Detective-esque treatment for the later stories.
