The cover art for the various American and British editions of the forthcoming
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows was announced today. Large images of the covers can be found on the fansite mugglenet.com. The U.S. edition, created by Minnesota artist Mary GrandPre, features Harry and a hooded, Sleestak-like Lord Voldemort in an open-air Roman-style amphitheater. While it's too early to speculate about possible plot developments until the actual novel comes out, the fact that both Harry and Voldemort have their arms thrust out wildly in front of them suggests that the final confrontation between the two archenemies may come in the form of a cut-throat game of Dance Dance Revolution. The seventh and final book in author J.K. Rowling's series, Deathly Hallows is scheduled to be released July 21.
