Hamilton Leithauser, singer of the on-hiatus Walkmen, has been added to the lineup of the A.V. Fest/Hideout Block Party, taking place in Chicago on September 5-6. Leithauser just released his first solo album, Black Hours, which The A.V. Club called “lively, confident, and charming,” and which features contributions from other members of The Walkmen as well as folks from Vampire Weekend and The Dirty Projectors. Leithauser has been quick to embrace the solo life, touring with Ray Lamontagne this summer, then jumping on several festival bills. In Chicago, at the A.V. Fest/Hideout Block Party, he’ll join Death Cab For Cutie, The War On Drugs, The Dismemberment Plan, Mac DeMarco, The Funky Meters, Sylvan Esso, and more. Two-day passes are on sale now!
