Get Out is a genuinely terrifying satirical horror film filled that doubles as a chilling social commentary on race. But fans are now finding the lighter side of Jordan Peele’s masterwork with the #GetOutChallenge. The point of the challenge is to recreate a moment in the film where Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) goes outside to smoke a cigarette late at night while staying at his girlfriend’s parents’ house for the first time. Out of nowhere, the family’s groundskeeper Walter (Marcus Henderson) comes running at him full force only to make a sharp turn at the very last second. The film’s official Twitter account helpfully shared a GIF of the unsettling moment:

The #GetOutChallenge seems to have originated from Kira C. on Twitter:

And it’s really exploded in popularity over the course of the past few days:

Even Stephen Curry uploaded his own version on Instagram:

The videos generally feature a camera person who’s in the know about what’s going on, although one version throws some unsuspecting people into the mix too:

And then there’s a whole subgenre of people falling over while doing the #GetOutChallenge, which is apparently a little more difficult than it looks:
