The cuts just keep on coming from Fox—just days after pulling Rosewoods hospital privileges, the network is pulling the plug on Making History, Son Of Zorn, and APB. This comes from Variety, which reports that the two comedies and procedural have been axed from the lineup. Son Of Zorn, the live-action/CGI hybrid from Reed Agnew and Eli Jorné, starred Cheryl Hines and Johnny Pemberton in the flesh, while Jason Sudeikis provided the voice for the animated barbarian who struggled to connect with his son. The half-hour comedy had a solid debut back in September, but lost half its viewership after the premiere.

In spite of (or perhaps owing to) being a part of a whole slew of time-travel shows this season, Making History similarly flailed in the ratings. The Adam Pally vehicle, about a slacker who travels to colonial Massachusetts via a duffel bag, had its episode order trimmed before it even premiered, which is never a good sign. Leighton Meester and Yassir Lester rounded out the core cast, but couldn’t help buoy the ratings.

APB also ventured into well traveled territory, with creators Matt Nix and David Slack trying to put a new twist on police procedurals by dropping an obnoxious billionaire (Justin Kirk) in the middle of the action. Inspired by the true story of an entrepreneur who bought a struggling police precinct in New Orleans, APB saw Kirk’s Gideon Reeves trying to “clean up the streets“ of Chicago with drones and gadgetry. The drama also starred Ernie Hudson and Natalie Martinez as Chicago cops who somehow didn’t want to just punch the billionaire in the face every time he showed up with his stupid app. There was a steep decline in the ratings after the premiere, though, so a blow was dealt regardless.
