As reported by Deadline, Jerry Ferrara has joined 50 Cent’s Starz drama series Power for a “co-starring role.” The series focuses on Omari Hardwick’s James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a nightclub owner/Kingpin Of Crime who dreams of going straight and legitimizing his non-criminal business. Unfortunately, like all drug-dealing empires, his drug-dealing empire is very lucrative, which makes it hard to justify settling for a boring, white-collar desk job like “nightclub owner.” Ferrara, who is best known for playing whichever one of the Entourage guys was Turtle (we blocked out those years from our memories), will be playing “a successful attorney with a dark secret” named Joe Proctor. Given his background as Turtle, that’s either ironic and funny, totally predictable, or completely unrelated. We’re not sure. Was Turtle the one known for being a successful attorney with a dark past? If so, they nailed this casting. The second season of Power—which is, apparently, not Playstation’s show about superhero cops—will premiere on Starz this summer.
