In a press release that touts its ‚Äúreign as the home for creative driven, one-of-a-kind programming,‚ÄĚ Adult Swim has announced a new half-hour comedy special from Jena Friedman and a new live-action series from Derrick Beckles and Eric Andre. Friedman‚Äôs special seems like a direct rejection of the anti-women, pro-Nazism reputation that Adult Swim found itself stuck with last year, as the aforementioned press release specifically highlights Friedman‚Äôs ‚Äúunapologetically feminist point of view‚ÄĚ and it promises to feature her ‚Äútackling evergreen issues related to politics, gender and American culture‚ÄĚ in the untitled special.

As for Beckles and Andre, they‚Äôre working together on a new live-action series called Mostly 4 Millennials that is reportedly ‚Äútargeted to mostly millennials.‚ÄĚ The quarter-hour series will apparently be an ‚Äúexciting look into what makes this incredibly important generation of humans tick,‚ÄĚ so hopefully it‚Äôll offer some tips on how young people can save money on their avocado toast addictions.

Neither project has a premiere date yet, but if you‚Äôre eager to see Jena Friedman be funny, she happens to be performing at The A.V. Club‚Äės own 26th Annual comedy Festival on June 2 at The Hideout in Chicago. You can find more information about that at this link.
